This fall, the Elkader Opera House Players are bringing the high-energy, feel-good musical Crazy For You to the stage. With unforgettable music by George and Ira Gershwin and a hilarious script by Ken Ludwig, this show is guaranteed to have you tapping your feet, laughing out loud, and swooning over a classic love story.
Set in the 1930s, Crazy For You follows the story of Bobby Child, a young man caught between his love for a beautiful showgirl, Polly, and his family’s expectations to take over the family business. Throw in a whole lot of mistaken identities, charming cowboys, dazzling showgirls, and the kind of big Broadway-style numbers that make you want to jump out of your seat, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a night at the theater.
